The second week of the acclaimed 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) has wrapped up, featuring fiery battles and rigorous competition. Sixteen teams representing Group Red clashed in 24 matches to secure a position in the prestigious Grand Finals.
NAVI emerged as champions following the rigorous four-day competition, accompanied by Tong Jia Bao Esports and Nigma Galaxy to the next stage. The remaining teams now anticipate the unpredictable aura of the Survival Stage.
The first competition day started with AS i8 claiming victory and the first Chicken Dinner on Sanhok. Tianba and IW NRX managed to gather 15 and 14 points respectively, while Nigma Galaxy slowly advanced in the leaderboard. The reigning champions, IHC Esports, had an unfortunate performance, ending up in 14th position while Nigma Galaxy topped the day with 56 points. IW NRX demonstrated their determination on the second day, jumping from fourth to first with three significant second-place finishes. Team Falcons also chalked their first tournament win, amassing 11 eliminations and positioning themselves on the leaderboard. The leaderboard experienced further fluctuations on the third day, with Tong Jia Bao Esports ascending from seventh place to the top, doubling their score from 74 to 142.
Group Red's final competition day witnessed NAVI taking the lead after securing their fourth Chicken Dinner. Tong Jia Bao Esports followed with 177 points, finishing in second place, and Nigma Galaxy secured third place with 172 points.
IW NRX finished the week in the Survival Stage with an impressive 115 kills, despite only one match win. In contrast, IHC ESPORTS finished in 12th position, extinguishing their chances of regaining the 2024 PMGC title.
The following week will witness the competition among Group Green from November 14th to 17th. Teams like Stalwart Esports and Team Liquid will compete for a spot in the grand finale. The Survival Stage and the Last Chance will follow, leading up to the December Grand Finals.
