Tarisland Season 1 Trailer Revealed: A New Region Will Feature in the New Season

Indeed, you may be guessing right, more news from Gamescom! Despite sounding exhausted, this year’s showcase has been particularly rich with mobile news. Significantly, a good portion of such news is courtesy of Tencent's newly formed game division, Level Infinite. Tarisland, their recently launched MMORPG is a case in point, showcasing the features of its first season.
The primary addition is a cold zone – the Scardino Icefield. The region is packed with new foes to battle and places to discover. However, that’s not all! The update will also offer challenging raid events and introduce fresh groups such as the Snow Lion Tribe, unique to this region.
While the October launch is confirmed, several aspects of this impending update remain somewhat unclear. For instance, there is speculation surrounding the vaguely hinted Frost Dragon Faction. It seems we have to wait and watch as more news unfolds about the new season.
Although Level Infinite's RTS endeavors with Age of Empire Mobile and Command & Conquer: Legions have received mixed reviews, Tarisland managed to gain attention before its launch. While I'll be keeping a close eye on it, the mobile MMORPG space is arguably more competitive than that on the PC. However, this new season could be what they need to establish a strong foothold.
